I am home now. Monday, Tim and John had class so I had them drop me off at the Metro station in the morning and I went into the city alone. My first stop was union station and then I walked down to the capitol building where I managed to get tickets for a tour. That building is amazing. When I finished up there I took a walk through one of the neighborhoods next to the Capitol on my way to the Metro Station. I finished up the american history museum and took a walk down to the tidal basin to get a few more photos of the cherry blossoms. I got to watch the sun set on DC and got some cool photos of the capitol at night. All in all a good day but damn I was tired. Yesterday was spent packing and getting lunch with John and Tim. I’m going to miss those guys. Now I’m home and have to work at 3. I have a mountain of photos to go through so I will still be posting some of the better ones as I get them edited.
Vacation
I will be leaving for Washington DC tomorrow on vacation but that doesn’t mean I wont be posting. I normally like to edit photos first, but I am only bringing my iPad so this will be a little different for me. I got really excited today because I found out I will be up there for the cherry blossom bloom so expect some photos of that. I’ll put the best ones here but there will be a lot more on my flickr feed so check it out.
Just messing around with my camera. I’ll try to post some shots while I’m in DC this week.
I think I like this one but I’m not sure. There are things I really like about it and things I don’t.
So, shortly after I uploaded that last image, I was checking my email and saw I received an email form Nik Software about my copy of Silver Effects Pro 2. I downloaded it and tried it out with the park bench photo. I love that software. I think I like this photo better in Black and White.
Playing around with my new lens. This was shot at 50mm f/1.4 ISO 400 handheld using ambiant light. I did find lens flair to be more of a problem then I thought it would be. I should have used the lens hood.
I just got my new lens, a Nikkor 50mm 1.4. The depth of field on this is amazing and it’s fast as hell. I’m going to have a lot of fun with this lens.
