I find that taking good candid shots of people is a lot like wildlife photography. Sometimes to get great shots you have to just sit on one place and let things unfold before you.
I took this shot last week of Ruan while we were at a Beer tasting. I took a second look at it today and decided to try it out in black and white. Well, turned out to be a pretty good shot.
I was bored tonight so I started playing around with my camera. I used a mirror for this and my 50mm at f/1.4. I did the tight crop after the fact.
